It all began in a little town called Red Top off the Gullah Geechee coast on John’s Island near the city of Charleston, South Carolina. Our head baker Autumn would doodle out her recipes and test them out in her Easy Bake oven, sharing them with her siblings. As time and young Autumn grew she would move her whisking to her grandmothers kitchen inspired by her array of recipes in a little green box to share some of her own through ‘Divine 9 bakery’ (her first venture) with her school friends and teachers through grade school and her favorite memory being Homecoming when she blew everyone away with her Pink Lemonade cupcakes .. it was then that she realized this is something she’d want to do forever. After graduating from Paul Michell in 2017 she made the largest faith leap of her life and moved to Atlanta, Ga for college studying psychology and soon after landed a job at Metrotainment Bakery where she refined her decorating and baking skills. The journey didn’t stop after parting from Metrotainment but excelled from there and Sunflour Sweets Vegan Bakery was born in 2019.Some of the first vegan treats offered were ‘Cacao Chip’ cookies, ‘Monkey Knuckle’ bread, and ‘Sunnamon Rollz’! However it wasn’t until June 2020 when the bakery went gluten free. In October 2021 the bakery attended its first ALL VEGAN festival in Los Angeles, California VEGANDALE Los Angeles and of course look forward to so much more.
